Thank you everyone for the many offers to help the community of Boggabilla. There have been many mixed messages online and in government agencies etc. Thank you to everyone who ignored the rumours/claims that there was no need for food and helped out already.

We have just received information that children are going hungry, so please keep sharing and caring.

Ive been given a name of an aunty who can get food to families who need it.


There are 2 ways to help if your not near by, we can order through woolworths and it get delivered to the 94 Yeoman Street Boggabilla and it will get dropped to the town and country club on thursdays.  Or we can call foodworks and they deliver to Boggabilla a few times a week. We are ordering in the name of Roxanne Duncan and aunty will get the word out to other families if we can get the support flowing.

If you can make an order could you please let me know the order number so i can help mob follow it up if theres any issues and know how much relief has been received?  Thanks again to everyone for helping out, getting in touch and sharing the message. It really means alot to see the true blue aussie spirit surfacing like this. its just magic.

When i shared the sad informarion that people have been saying there is no need for food in Boggabilla this was the response i received by the family member who got in touch with me originally to alert us to the issues Boggabilla were faced with

Reports from families outside Boggabilla have come in informing us mob cant leave unless they are double jabbed and lot of em against it too.

They only have a little servo (service station) in the town and closest shops are in Goondiwindi

We are calling on all humanitarian groups, black organisations and allies to rally together to get essentials to this community as quickly as we can.

Please share this message as far and wide as possible

    Residents in the Boggabilla and Toomelah communities are able to access food, water and medical supplies through a delivery systems that was established at the onset of the border restrictions. A local supermarket in Goondiwindi, Foodworks are delivering grocery orders three times a week. They will take orders over the phone or online. Resilience NSW have provided non-perishable food and personal hampers within both communities. Pharmacies are collaborating with Foodworks so that any essential medications etc can be delivered at the same time. Other local non-government organisations in both NSW and QLD have stepped up to make sure no-one misses out. Fresh fruit and vege, milk, bread and meat hampers have beeb distributed to vulnerable residents in both communities.
    There is a steady stream of NSW residents that access Goondiwindi for essentials, coming over the border daily which is providing opportunity for personal networks to help if you are unvaccinated.

      Do you belong to the first nation communities there? If not i doubt you are aware how hard things are already. Reports have come direct from community, who ARE having trouble accessing the things mentioned in the article. So no matter what supports you say are in place, the people of these communities are still be failed imo

    Bullshit! Both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated people will be able to access essential services and activities.

    This means unvaccinated people will still be able to go to grocery stores, pharmacies, post offices, newsagents and clothing stores, and participate in activities like going to the gym for exercise.

    Capacity restrictions may still be in place at these types of businesses.

    People will still need to check-in to venues. This is important to support contact tracing if there is a case at a venue. Vaccinated people can still carry the virus, although the risk is reduced.

A little about page admin Kaiyu Moura (Bayles)

Now living in QLD raising her children on their traditional country, gathering food, learning the old art of building shelters, dance and the local language. For the past 20 years with her late Grandmother Maureen Watson and a dance group with 6 of her sisters Kaiyu travelled schools, festivals, events etc sharing the beauty of First Nations Culture through song and dance, stories, art, theatre, nursery rhymes, poetry etc and engaging all ages in different projects that inspire positive change.
